   My phone looks like it’s in it’s last stages before dying and I’ll be moving to Japan soon so I was wondering if I should buy one now or maybe wait till I get to Japan/until my phone actually dies

2. buy one when you get here. That way you can get one that supports osaifu ketai (will save you headaches when trying to integrate with certain services)

   If you’re specifically looking at Android phones its probably better to get one here just to make sure you’ve got the domestic wallet support. It’s less of an issue if you’re looking at iPhone though.
