Hello hello, I’m moving back to Japan with my wife after living the UK for a bit and we have acrued a load of stuff. We were thinking of shipping via boat than plane. I was wondering if anyone had any experiance with the matter or had and recomendations for bringing a load of stuff to Japan. Thanks in advance.

With the pandemic, shipping freight is expensive. Expect delays. I think the cost has doubled, according to my husband — and his company mostly ships between Tokyo and Los Angeles.
We did it, and it was great — but it was paid by my work and this was six years ago. Took two months roughly.
