I’ve been in Japan for a year and will be here for a couple more years. I’m currently using Buyee and I’m tired of it. I’m a current SoftBank user and just made a Yahoo account so I may use the auction site. I researched on this reddit and other sources and read that Paypay linked with your SoftBank phone account is an option so you may use your foreign credit card. I saw that’s several months ago there were changes to Paypay and just want to know since we’re going into 2024, if Paypay linked with your SoftBank and foreign CC is still a working viable option. Or, would it be easier to get a Japanese credit card like SMBC or something else similar that someone recommends. Note: I only looking into the Paypay or Japanese CC for the sole purpose to purchase on YHJ.

Paypay and softbank still works but iirc monthly spending is 50k when you charge to softbank bill. i use d card prepaid in Yahoo auction wallet and it works fine there as well.
Curious what kind of profit Buyee gets. They buy a lot of my stuff on Yahoo Auction and Mercari.
I just use the pay at the konbini option for the stuff that I buy on Yahoo and Mercari
