Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me about what the culture of Japan is like as well as any festivals or holidays celebrated? I want to learn more from a first hand experience if possible. Also some history would be good too. Any help or recommended sites would be good too.
Thanks!

Look up some videos on YouTube, you can find a lot there
Look up stuff on Google, Heian period and Edo period stuff is pretty popular. Also try to put a bit more effort into posting. Do a little research before you ask a low effort post like this. If you’re just starting off YT and Wikipedia has a ton of stuff.
Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me about [extremely broad and vague topic] as well as [things I could find easily with a simple Google search]? I want to learn more about [extremely broad and vague topic] from first hand experience (but I don’t have any specific questions). Also please give me some history about [extremely broad and vague topic]. Any history will do–I don’t have any specific questions and I refuse to use Google or open a book.
Thanks!
It’s a little hard to detail an entire culture and history on a single reddit post.
Honestly if you want to know about thier culture and history- the only thing to do is get watching videos and reading articles.
“Let’s ask Shogo” is a good place to start.
Wikipedia can help but may be inaccurate at times.
“Only in Japan” is pretty good too.
But basically the best source is anyone Japanese themselves.

One day in the 12th century two guys fought on a bridge and then became best friends. Later one of them would commit suicide.
This has been your history lesson.
