Sapporo resident here. The Costco sushi and sashimi is well known to the locals for being of high quality. It checks out.

I didn’t know Japan also has Costco…will definitely try to use my membership card if I travel there…😅
Just as an aside, the salmon Costco sells some of it is sushi grade salmon, and they had it cut up one day and I never knew that so I took some home and made sushi. It’s absolutely delicious. Well I just made sashimi. I just cut it up. It was really really good.
Costco sushi here is hard undercooked rice, fake crab meat, horrible stuff…
I’ve made nice sushi using frozen farmed salmon from Costco though.
How long does sushi last in the fridge?
Shame there’s only one serving there
3580 yen for such a big portion is well worth it too!
Is that kimbap bottom left?
Yeah that’s like $120 worth of sushi in a restaurant
