Is a digital Suica Card enough to maneuver thru Japan?

Any tickets I need to reserve in advance?

How does luggage forwarding work?

Open to any feedback/suggestions

Would love food recommendations especially steakhouses

  1. I have a very similar itinerary in Feb and am also wondering if the digital suica would be suitable for the entirety. The JR pass no longer seems worth it

  2. Teamlabs -> Not really worth it imho. just a bunch of foreigners wandering around interactive art. not particularly japanese. but if you insist on going, get an afternoon ticket, and go to toyasu fist market in the morning, have the best sushi of your life at Ryu (get there early, sit on the left side of the bar – like this is open for breakfast sushi, cuz it services the workers there).

Universal Studios – hard pass. expensive and corporate. otherwise good itinerary.

  3. For day 8 in Kyoto, I would skip the bamboo forest. It is unimpressive even though the town is cute. Consider Kiyomizu-dera temple and the nearby area, Very walkable with many shrines, other temples, charming streets with food. The streets around Higashiyama at Kiyomizu-dera temple are the photo spots for Kyoto. You might consider skipping Nara unless you must see the deers and spend more time in Kyoto. See Insider Kyoto on the web for idea. Enjoy your trip.

  4. For Day 3 you might want to consider going to Meiji Shine because it is next to Yoyogi Park by the Harujuku station.
