Would a record label / deal be able to sponsor a work visa?

My client is an internationally known touring music producer and DJ, they’ve worked with some of the largest Japanese game companies on promotions etc

They want to live in Japan because they make Japanese inspired music. They also want to make it easier for sync licensing in Japan (Japan is notorious for weird streaming licensing)

Anyways would a record deal even by a smaller local label be able to grant a work visa for PR?

We’re not talking the performer visa to be clear.

then it should be pretty easy for them to start living here, if they are as big of a deal as this statement conveys

Side note: If I was some big shot international producer/dj and found out the guy/company I hired to look into potential immigration issues is out there on reddit asking random people for information I’d fire them immediately lol

  3. can you stop wasting this sub’s time on half-baked hypotheticals or at least make an effort with better sockpuppets lol

from OP’s post history, it’s obvious they’re the same person as the author of [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/movingtojapan/comments/18bt3bi/can_an_american_lawyer_start_a_law_firm_in_japan/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button). maybe don’t link your socials or use your real name on reddit? //edit: a third post! to recap: OP thought it was plausible that her girlfriend – a junior american lawyer with no discernible specialism, experience, or connections in japan – could get a visa by setting up a law firm here. when informed that this is unrealistic, OP says she will just have to hire her gf under her own company. as it turns out, this is another castles in the sky fantasy, because OP herself has no clear path to a visa and is trying to crowdsource information on sponsorship

p.s. consciously participating in the fetishisation of ‘hot asian girls’ as an asian woman is gross enough, but doing so as a ‘DJ’ is the easiest way to ensure nobody will take your career seriously
