1. I don’t think that is going to happen. The Japanese government is gearing up for WW3 so the last thing they would want is a smaller US presence.

3. They have wanted the bases reduced forever. What does 77 years mean here?

4. I mean.. china is there in the corner waiting for a dance partner… if you like their style let us know…

5. Unless Japan is willing to replace bases with Japanese ones it makes no sense. Even if you did that, you’d still have the same problem. It cannot be fixed so long as China in particular remains internationally aggressive.
