First time at a residence office in seven years (PR renewal.) Despite filling in and printing out the form ahead of time I went right at open time, expecting a huge wait and hassle.
I was the only person there, and the only hang-up was my passport being expired (one annoyance at a time, in order, and considering cost), and even that didn’t suck.
I almost miss it smelling like stale cigarette smoke and hearing a bunch of low-grade arguments mixing Japanese, Tagalog, Vietnamese and English!
In-and-out in 15 minutes with a new card!
Bonus day! It was more than I expected, so I guess I’ll be moving more to my savings account at the end of the month than I expected.
Can’t wait to see how much tax rebate I get – last year it was almost half a month’s post-tax salary.
I’ve got a tea advent calendar this year. It’s been great having a totally different cuppa every day!
It’s Friday! Last day of the week to wake up at 7am! Yay for lazy mornings in my cozy futon for the next two days.
I got called in to work today but I’m just going to look on the bright side and appreciate the extra money.
Also went to the Ghibli Museum for the first time! I was also treated to very expensive うな重 and it was ⛽️ I’d never had such good うな重.
I got my favorite tea as a gift 😀

– bullet journaling seems to be going well
having a third world passport, getting registered for automated gates （自動化ゲート）at the airport was life changing.. no more lines, no more questions.. passing immigration faster than my Japanese gf felt like cheating
I commented earlier this week how I’ll need a PS5 by 2025 for GTA6.
WELL HOLY SHIT, because Sega announced a remake/sequel of JET SET FUCKING RADIO.
This is the biggest announcement of all time. As a bonus, a new Crazy Taxi game is coming too.
