Language school/tutor recommendation for polishing business Japanese

I am currently seeking employment in the Tokyo area (preferably in IT security) and have come to conclusion that competent business Japanese will greatly improve my options. I am looking for recommendations on a school that can help me get to the point within a few months where I can survive a job interview in Japanese.

For context I passed JLPT N1 almost a decade ago but, as many of you probably know, the JLPT is not a great test of real-world conversational ability. In a business context where people are speaking clearly and don’t use a lot of slang/jargon, I can understand most of what I hear and get lost only occasionally. However, my *speaking* ability is severely deficient–I never got fluent enough where my brain started thinking in Japanese so speaking is still extremely cognitively demanding and I often struggle to put my thoughts into the proper phrasing.

I originally studied Japanese entirely on my own, but my ADHD has worsened with age and I really need the external pressure of someone telling me what to work on and expecting me to do it. One-on-one tutoring might be more appropriate here, but either way I am looking for recommendations or prior experiences on what worked for you. Thanks!

  1. I had a private language teacher from Preply. Review their profiles & you should take a lesson or two to see if the person’s background & style matches what you want. I’m a digital marketer so I had an older retired businessman at a global company that worked well for me. Only problem is when you pay in dollars the prices are a lot higher currently
