Moving to an apartment where I can get AU Hikari but I don’t know anything about routers

I’m moving to a new apartment and will luckily get rid of the Softbank Air that was powering my internet until now. Unfortunately I’m not a network guy so I kind of have no idea what I’m in for.
The new place has a port that to my understanding cannot be used for Nuro Hikari as I wanted, but AU Hikari is compatible and has good reviews so I’m okay with that.
They will give me a router, but I’m going to want to get the most out of internet so I’m not sure if what they give me will be good enough or not. (I have not gotten info on which router I will be recieving but plan to go to AU today to confirm some things.)
I have an old router from my previous apartment, but again, I don’t know if it’s good enough. It’s the TP-LINK AC1200 Wireless Dual Band Router (Model: Archer C50) with a frequency of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Speed wise, the provider router will be good enough. Those routers most likely can’t do other advanced functions like VPN, file servers etc, but if you don’t need it, they will work fine.
