3. Yeah it is! I went to a tiny punk show in Shimokita completely on a whim and never felt more welcomed anywhere else by the locals than I did there.

4. Totally. I saw a live jazz band in The Pit Inn in Shinjuku in October and the whole experience blew me away. Even better with a suntory whisky too

5. Where are you?

   I visit Japan once or twice a year and would love some recommendations on local underground venues.
