Just a note that the r/JapaneseCoins sub is up. It covers Japanese coinage from ancient to the modern era.
As a long-time student of Japanese history, culture and language I recently began to collect pre-Meiji coinage after discovering how beautiful much of it is. Even some of the modern coinage is amazing, and I felt the topic deserving of its own sub-reddit. The sub is also influenced by the work of Lianna Spurrier at [RectangleCoins](https://rectanglecoins.com/), who is writing a book on Japanese bar money.
