For Americans, have you been called up for jury duty?
Like many others, I have my parents’ house as my US address, but taxes, election ballots etc. all come to my address in Japan. When I arrived here about 20 years ago, I registered with the Department of State.
I have never been contacted for jury duty.
Did the Department of State tell Department of Justice and whoever assembles juries for state cases?
Or am I a statistical anomaly/being called for jury duty is a rare thing?
Did I make a mistake switching from apple to android?
Currently ip12 pro max user. Been using iphone since 7-8 yrs. Needed a change and ordered a s23 ultra from docomo(model change program).
It will arrive today, i have airpods and apple watch😅. I can only return s23 ultra if the box is unopened. I am in dilemma now😅😅
I have a huge collection of PET bottles in my apartment. I was wondering if there’s an easier way to get rid of them that cut each label off, wash them out, and take them to the nearest supermarket to throw away. It normally wouldn’t be a big deal, but I have so many of them…
Are end of year gifts a thing here, and what sort of gifts are appropriate? I moved into an apartment that has at least one caretaker/employee to clean up and check the trash area (large building) so I thought maybe a small box of cookies/snacks would be appropriate?
Also this year I started getting manicures and have been pretty regularly going to the same woman/salon (only two employees). I thought about getting something like a bag charm since we’ve had much more extensive conversations, no more in value than a comparable box of cookies.
Any good Japanese whiskeys you’d recommend?
