INAX toilet . Power saving!

I have an INAX toilet and will be travelling for a week shortly. Aware these things suck up electricity with the heated seat.

Any issue if I unplug the toilet from the wall for a week?

Would like to avoid coming back to toilet gate.

Edit : originally wrote this as IMAX toilet. 🙂

  1. The plug only controls the automatic flushing/seat heating/spray functions.

You’re not going to have any problems with cloggage because you took the AC adapter out.

But if you’re that worried, unplug it for the day if you’re at home.

  2. You can actually turn off seat heating on most models, but yeah as the other reply said, unplugging it is perfectly fine. Think about how it worked before the seat got installed.

  3. Yes, you can simply unplug it. The actual toilet functions the same whether the seat’s plugged in or not.

Unused, the standby cost is maybe 25 cents for the week.

I suggest not worrying about such amounts. The mental energy you’re spending > the cost of electrical energy.

  5. I’ve had my upstairs toilet’s seat unplugged for months now. I don’t use it for anything “heavy” so the washlet isn’t needed.

  6. Turn off the seat and water heater from the control panel and pull out the power cable to make sure.

Make sure you pull out the plug on the TV and other appliances too. Consider defrosting your fridge and leaving it off during the week after finishing all the food. 😉

  7. We bought our house 13 years ago. The toilets haven’t been plugged in once. Should’ve had them put in regular toilets. You won’t have any problems
