Contact with Art/Music community in Okazaki

Hiya,
I hope everyone is doing well.
I’m going to Japan for 3 months from January to April 2024, I’ll be residing at Okazaki. I am a currently in the making of a documentary project about interviewing people about their experience with grief and all it’s forms.
I’m from Canada and I’ll be learning Japanese during my stay, nonetheless, my capacity of communicating is not optimal and I’m considering working with someone from Okazaki who could help for the translation during the filming.
Being a music producer and a visual artist, I’d love to meet people in the art scene but I don’t know where to look for. It seems that it’s more difficult that I thought it’d be.
Can someone help a gaikokujin out ?
Take care.

  2. So this is a residency… or you’re going to a language school… or just here on a long vacation…?

At any rate, Okazaki appears to have precisely one art museum and if you’re looking for a scene of any significance, Nagoya’s only an hour away by train.

  3. It seems you’re looking for an interpreter. They should be easy to find, but also, they will not be cheap. They charge by the hour.
