Actual Adzuki beans are from the Vigna angularis plant. Goya doesn’t state what plant variety their small red beans come from – but they do, in fact also sell actual Goya Adzuki beans. [https://www.goya.com/en/products/adzuki-beans](https://www.goya.com/en/products/adzuki-beans)

Those aren’t the same type of bean. But you could make shiroan as opposed to anko, which uses white beans. Easier to find.
