Keio University/ Keio Media Design International Student

Hello!
I am a graduate from Myanmar, who passed MEXT’s first screening and now applying to universities. My field is Arts and Design/ Graphic Design/ Visual Communication. Keio Media Design looks pretty cool when I research about it online and the courses/ learning materials are so great. But what I hear from communities is, it’s Japan rich kid’s university and not very popular among international students. Is that true? And do you have any recommendations/ suggestions for choosing university? Region doesn’t really matter as long as they have english-based Master’s degree programs in Arts and Design. Thank you.

Since you have passed MEXT (congratulations!), you might as well apply the most famous/top universities to improve your chances of finding a job in Japan ^{assuming ^a ^Japan ^job ^is ^your ^goal} . Tokyo University’s Geidai is the most prestigious but it’s a Japanese language only program. Sad. Geidai MA degree could get you top paying job in a major creative company like [Dentsu](https://www.adbrands.net/jp/dentsu-jp.htm).

The top English language based, graphics arts Masters programs in Keio Uni, Musashino Art Uni, Tama Art Uni, Tohoku Uni, and Tsukuba Uni are all the same in terms of income potential in Japan (with Keio having an advantage in terms “school tie” networking for jobs).
