  1. That sucks for Ishii but Clark is an excellent replacement. Guy has been killing it in the ring lately and he can hang so I’m not made at all. Plus, his theme song bangs.

  2. NGL sucks for Ishii obviously and I never wish injury on anyone but when I first saw this I got excited. What a crazy opportunity for Clark lol.

  3. Unfortunate, Ishii has really established himself as one of the best, and has had a successful history of getting international fans to back him. I really wanted to see him and Miro go at it. I hope they can give us that match in the future.

Ideally this can turn into something really good for Clark Connors. The guy has proven himself to be a solid and versatile talent, but he’s still very new to most audiences. This could be the thing that puts him on a higher pedestal.

  4. Damn, I was looking forward to seeing Ishii. Bummer he’s gonna be out too. But Connors is really good too. He’s gonna ball out for sure and make the most of this opportunity.

  5. God heard the forbidden door announcement and said “nah.” This ppv will still be amazing no doubt but holy crap is there ever a lot of high profile injuries RIGHT in the build

  6. Hope he heals up. Good for Clark. Hell of an opportunity on a massive stage.

  7. Good for Clark, he’s superb and if that match with Ishii and his BOSJ run is anything to go by, he’s ready

Absolutely sucks for Ishii though, I knew he wasn’t going to win but that 1% of hope was enough for me

  8. Absolutely gutted. Ishii is one of my all time favorite wrestlers and I was finally going to get to see him this weekend. Excited for Clark too, but damn. Hope he heals up well!

  9. No fucking way, you just have to laugh at this point. The Western fans love Ishii, so I feel for the people who were excited to see him.

That said, Connors is absolutely capable of hanging in this match if they let him loose. The only tough part will be getting him over initially with the crowd. Maybe you put Ishii in Clark’s corner for his entrance, as like an endorsement of the person taking his place.

Thinking about it, that might not be a bad team. The Stone Pitbull and The Wild Rhino… Clark Connors to CHAOS?

  10. Sucks but this could be great for conners, if they let him show what he’s got you might make a new star

  11. The Wrestling God has pretty much destroyed the AEW/New Japan Roster (Ishii) leading to Forbidden Door. Our only hope now? MIRO WILL SAVE US ALL. FOR HE IS THE REDEEMER. AND GOD WILL FINALLY BE REDEEMED.

    MIRO vs. God.

Book it, tiny khan you coward.

  12. God damn the whole wrestling business is under a fuckin injury plague right now. Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Scorpio Sky, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and now Tomohiro Ishii are all injured and not cleared to compete yet. And I’m sure there are even more in impact or NXT and other shows. It just feels like everybody in every promotion is injured right now.

  13. As much as I think Ishii fit perfectly in this match, this is a great opportunity for Clark to showcase his intensity and skill on a world stage. Knock ’em flat, Connors!

  14. The moment of Ishii and Miro facing off in the match was the selling point for me. Clark Connors is good but that moment, was what it was all about. The show is going to be stacked with lots of good to great wrestling the problem is it’s lacking true moments.

  15. Danhausen has gone too far this time. Cursing an entire PPV and associated doors of forbidden rooms.

  16. Why they even doing a 4 way for this match? I thought there’d be semi finals and a final

  17. The US audience is not gonna understand that Clark Connors isn’t Jungle Boy from the future.

  18. Now I really hope for a Karl Fredericks interference during Clark’s most important match.
