I guess it is my turn for a rant.
Why is every TV in Japan set to the most horrid over processed video settings? I realize that setting your TV to max brightness and video smoothing makes your picture appear crisper, but my god it makes even the best movie look like a cheap Mexican soap opera or sh*tty Japanese drama filmed on an iPhone.
It is to the point that even AAA movies are next to unwatchable.
Turning off all of the showroom settings is the first thing any sane person would do — why is every TV in every Japanese household and hotel set to worst possible settings?
Does it deminsh the quality of manzai?
