I live in a really old apartment (45 yrs old or so) that I bought a few years ago. The windows are considered community shared (共用部分) because I guess the owners association want to maintain a common look from the outside. However, my young kid cracked the window a bit by being a kid. It’s not bad yet, but I think the crack will get bigger over time. If I replace the window, I assume the owners association would want the new windows to look the same, but since the apartment is so old, how would I find the replacement?
What if I would like to just change to double sided window to increase efficiency?
Has anyone been through this?

I think the best move here is to just contact the owner’s association (or maintenance company, if there is one). I wouldn’t try and arrange the repair by yourself (but salute the honesty of wanting to take care of it)
