Fresh wasabi comes from Shizuoka. Maybe a store that sells goods from other prefectures might have it?
Was some in my regular supermarket in suburban Osaka last week, I don’t think it’s that uncommon. Have you asked at the stores you’ve been to?
I saw it regularly in my local supermarket where I live in vegetable section.
Regular supermarkets that have a good vegetable section should sell it. I don’t know what’s a good supermarket where you live but I see it all the time in my area.
