Below you can find the information about the extended hour operations of train companies in Kansai and Nagoya area on New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.
JR West: extended hour service will be available until 3am on following lines:
* JR Kobe/Kyoto line: Nishi-Akashi-Sannomiya-Osaka-Takatsuki – every 20 minutes; Takatsuki-Kyoto – every 40 minutes
* JR Nara line: Kyoto-Joyo – every 30 minutes
* JR Osaka Loop line: every 10 minutes
* JR Yumesaki line: every 10 minutes (some through-service into/from JR Osaka Loop line)
* JR Tozai/Gakkentoshi line: Amagasaki-Kyobashi-Shijonawate, every 40 minutes
* JR Yamato line: JR Namba-Oji every 30 minutes, Oji-Nara every 60 minutes
* JR Manyo Mahoroba line: Nara-Sakurai, every 40 minutes
Nankai: extended hour service will be offered between Namba and Takaishi stations; every 15 to 20 minutes between Namba and Suminoe, every 30 to 40 minutes between Suminoe and Takaishi, last trains: 2:20 Namba to Takaishi and Takaishi to Namba; note that during first three days of New Year all trains except limited expresses will make additional stop at Sumiyoshitaisha station between 10:00 and 16:00.

Nagoya subway: all night operations except for Kami-Iida line
Hankyu, Hanshin, Osaka Metro, Meitetsu and JR Central will not be offering overnight services.
