Legal Question: leaked email

Generally speaking, without details (no, I’m not involved):

Let’s say someone has been sharing a negatively-charged business email to their friends, outside of the company and department:

– it is clear that the email is meant only for one person.
– Evidence is present that people unrelated to the email posses said email
– the email sender is unaware their email is being spread around for personal reasons.

Legally speaking, is there wrongdoing?
