I’m finishing my masters from todai, my Japanese is terrible but I got an offer from a company that I really like but don’t know how I feel about it from a financial standpoint given that I have another option of doing Phd for free under the MEXT scholarship.
Job title: consulting engineer
Base salary is 255,000 monthly
Housing allowance= 53,000 monthly
Bonuses twice a year= 1.27 million yen
Work location is Kobe
I’m 29 single no debt or financial obligations, if it matters.
The role is permanent.
