Genuinely curious what you guys think of this. This is my usual sushi spot, and as this being the only non supermarket/buffet sushi I’ve had, I want to see how it stands up to your standards

Shrimp tempura (left) spicy salmon (top) and spicy mango shrimp (bottom)

Guess how much this cost and if you think it looks good. Personally I think it tastes great

  1. Looks like your standard “$10” tier sushi spot. Not the highest quality or most authentic but usually tasty and great value. It’s where I’ll go if I’m craving sushi for a meal and don’t want to spend $50. I’m guessing around $15 total for everything?

  2. For takeout sushi, that seems pretty reasonable if it’s US$12-20.

A lot of those takeout sushi-yas are generally of similar quality.

  3. I would guess it cost $13.99.

I have nothing against it, and I would definitely eat it.

Keep in mind, when something is advertised as “spicy [whatever],” it’s likely the bottom of the barrel fish. They are scraping the leftovers and blending it with Mayo and labeling it 🤌🏻’spicy.’l

  4. Ratio is really good, what I expect from my local supermarket. Basic rolls that fill the void. Solid.
