I’m looking for a inexpensive Japanese cell phone plan which I can maintain from the US over the next 2 to 3 years. I expect my monthly usage to at maximum be: 10 minutes of calls, 20 sms, 0.5 gb data.
**【Background】**
・My job has got me moving to the US next fall.
・I have Japanese Citizenship.
**【Reasoning】**
Reasons I want a Japanese cell number while in the US are:
・I’ve got bank accounts / credit cards here that sometimes require sms verification codes to login.
・I expect to come back 1-2 times a year and would prefer to not have to worry about getting a Sim each time.
**【Request】**
I would appreciate it if anyone has any recommendations off the top of their head, or perhaps a workaround.
