I recently moved to Japan on a work visa and am seeking options for car insurance options. After a Google and a few inquiries, I’m not able to get quotes for any less than ¥85,000 (from JapanInsurance.net) for the year, for a Kei Van. This seems a little steep to me (I’m from the UK where my insurance is roughly ¥50,000), so I’m wondering what a ‘normal’ cost would be.
If anyone has any experience with this or knows a decently priced insurance company, I’d be very grateful.
