Hi all! Hoping for some help for a single day road trip on the Noto peninsula. Is it worth it to go up if we have to return to Kanazawa that evening? What would you suggest for must do stops and at what point should we start heading back south? Not sure we could make it all the way to Suzu and back before dark and unsure of the roads and driving at night.
Thinking the Chirihama beach driveway might be fun, and the Ganmon caves and Hitago-iwa rock are worth a look. Is it worth it to drive up to Wajima and Suzu and loop around the peninsula toward Noto to see the great Buddha or should we cut across or turn around at some point sooner and head back to Kanazawa? We’ll be there the second week of April so I don’t think it’s the best time to see the Senmaida rice terraces unfortunately.
Any other stops you would recommend? Not finding a whole lot online so anything is a big help and would love to hear suggestions for other day trips from Kanazawa too; we are planning one day to Kaga (Yamanaka Onsen) and possibly a day trip to Shirakawa go. Just a couple of days too soon for the alpine route opening but would love to see snow! We have 7 nights total in Kanazawa and our airbnb comes with a car.
thanks so much for your help!
