  1. One thing That I am having trouble with currently is particles. I understand when and what they are used for. But when I’m listening to native speech, My brain for whatever reason cannot parse what the sentence means as a whole and connect the dots to make the sentence make sense.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

  2. Hi,

In Genki 2 ch14 workbook, there is a question that starts with this: “ima made no purezento no naka de …”, which looks to translate to “amongst the presents (i) received so far, …”

Could someone please clarify the usage of “no” after “made”?

I know that when qualifying a noun with another noun, we connect them with “no”, for example “kondo no yasumi” means “next vacation”. But from my understanding, “made” is a particle. Without prior knowledge, i would have guessed that it would just be “ima made purezento no naka de…”. Can someone please explain to me a little more?

    Thank you
