Where are the good stories and why don’t we share more of those? Yes, the reality of living in Japan is very different from the unrealistic expectations of people, but I’m still baffled about the sheer amount of negativity here, where I have had an over-abundance of good experiences.
Do people have some good and positive stories to share?
I remember about a year ago I was walking in my remote town and a smartly dressed man on his bicycle stopped next to me. He gave me a can of beer and introduced me to a wild vegetable growing around town that I could use for cooking.
This was such a wonderful meeting, and I’ll always cherish it.
