STUDENT VISA | INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR

Hi, I’m a 24M from the Philippines. I’ve been working as an independent contractor for an Italian company since 2018, but I only registered it as a business here in the Philippines this year.

I fell in love with Japan after visiting as a tourist. I want to try living there, so obtaining a Student Visa seems perfect for me since it allows me to experience living there for 1-2 years before I decide whether I want to move to Japan permanently. Enrolling in a language school is ideal as I’ve always wanted to learn Japanese, and now I’ll have the opportunity to do so in a native environment.

Here’s the issue: I am currently working 40 hours a week with my company. Since I will be permitted to work only 28 hours a week as a student in Japan, I plan to hire someone to handle the repetitive parts of my tasks. This way, I can reduce my workload to 25 hours per week, and the person I hire will work the remaining 15 hours.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Do you think this setup could cause problems in the future?
