  1. I have a hard time reading easy to understand manga.
I am learning japanese for a while now (inconsistently) with Nihongo Fun & Easy + Anki Flashcards to learn the vocabulary. I already looked into Verb forms, particles and other important grammar but seem to be not ready yet.
Is there anything y’all could recommend doing/learning to get better at reading manga or stuff to learn before even reading one?

  2. Hello!

This is very random so let me know if this isn’t the right place, but I’ve been looking for a specific Japanese learning Youtube channel. My professor in college used it when I was still taking classes, but I haven’t been able to find it since (it’s been years and I don’t remember the name).

The main premise of the channel was that there was a robot grandma (?) that would teach you short phrases and rules and then would follow up with a story that demonstrated the phrase/rule. I remember being really invested in two characters going on a date in one of these episodes. For some reason I remember it being JapanPod101 but I haven’t been able to find it on their channel.

  3. What do you call girls schools and boys schools? For example a high school only for one gender.

  4. Are there any books, apps, or websites that contain the list of mnemonics for the various kanji and vocabulary needed for the JLPT exams?

I find myself creating mnemonics for the vocabulary that I learn, but I would pay to have a consolidated list that I can study and learn from instead to remove some of the tedium that comes with memorizing vocabulary.

  5. Hey, I just wanted to know if my routine is good, and also what I could change.
Each day, I learn 10 words, do my wanikani lesson and finish off by doing 2 sakubi(online grammar guide), and also when should I start getting input.
