Recently, I watched Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix (highly recommended). In Episode 5 (“The Tale of the Ronin and the Bride”), the plot is conveyed via a bunraku puppet show with vast decorations and backplates, with the help of effects done through the burst of fabric. Could one find a similar performance in terms of production quality? I’d appreciate any recommendations regarding Tokyo or any other city in Japan.
