I’ve seen one similar post but the answer section lacks detail.
To share my little background, I’m a Filipino who currently resides in Tokyo. And I’m planning to get a drivers licence (DL) at Samezu branch within few weeks.
I read the list of requirements found in the keishichou website. I completed most of the requirements and only lacking 1) Certification with Apostille and 2) License History. Two of which are not familiar to me. I inquired the keishichou office if I can take exam while missing the aforementioned items, and they responded I needed all.
For Filipino residents who successfully switched DL, what was your experience? Did the keishichou staff ask for Certification and License history? And how did you get those documents? Thanks!
