Future Opportunities Overseas for A Computer Science Graduate from a Japanese University

Hello, I apologize if this isn’t the right place to post this, but I wasn’t sure where else to turn.

I’m currently a full-time student majoring in Computer Science (or maybe Engineering?) at a public university in Japan. I’m not Japanese, but I’m studying and will graduate alongside my Japanese peers in a four-year undergraduate program. I’m in my first year right now. Alongside my studies in Japan, I’m considering preparing for opportunities to work or pursue further education (like a Master’s degree) in other countries. I’m looking at the USA, Germany, the UK, and Australia as potential options. I think that my English is imperfect but understandable, so I’m open to English-speaking countries. However, having experienced language barriers before, I’m willing to prepare for a country whose language I don’t speak if given enough time to prepare. Are there any advices for me? (what to prepare from now, etc)

Furthermore, I’m aware that work cultures vary across countries. For instance, I understand that Leetcode-style interviews, which are common in the USA, might not be typical in Japan. Any insights into these cultural differences would be immensely valuable!

While I’m fine with the prospect of working in Japan and am preparing accordingly, I’m keen on expanding my horizons by exploring opportunities to work or study in other countries.

Thanks in advance!
