I’ve been planning my first trip to Japan in January 2024 for the past couple of weeks! I have been looking at the subreddit but I want some advice for my current itinerary that I have planned out. I’d appreciate anything that you all have to share. I’m taking a long my partner with me who’s been to Japan once so I’ll have him as a guide to help me on the stations and whatnot lol.
**Day 1 – Arrival**
* Flight Arrival in Haneda at 4:30 PM
* Travel to the hotel to explore the surrounding area which has a mall nearby and a Don Quijote which I’m excited about!
* Sushiaro for dinner
**Day 2 -**
* Reservations for Studio Ghibli Museum in Mitaka
* Unsure if we’ll spend the entire day there until close, I’m a big ghibli fan so we’ll see.
* Explore the Shinjuku area
* Visit Namco Tokyo
* Ichiran Ramen for dinner
**Day 3 -**
* Reservations at Yamato Sample Factory to make fake parfaits!
* Travel to Akihabara
* Familiarize the area, and look at a few stores I had listed like Animate, Amiami, etc.
* Reservations for the Pokemon Cafe
* From what I’ve seen with photos it looks so cute so I’m excited for this!
**Day 4 -**
* Travel to Tokyo Disney Sea
* All day event
**Day 5 -**
* Travel to Harajuku in the morning
* Get a reservation for the Pompompurin Cafe!
* Explore Harajuku
* Get crepes, visit Kiddyland, Daiso, etc
* Travel to Sunshine City Mall
* Visit Donguri, Pokemon Center MEGA, One Piece Store, etc.
* Probably eat dinner there at Marugame Seimen or Tokatsu Wako
**Day 6 -**
* Travel to Tsukiji Outer Market
* Food Ideas, Tamago Stick, Strawberry Daifuku, Wagyu Stick, Matcha Latte, etc.
* Travel to Suzukien Asakusa
* Try their levels of Matcha Gelato!
* Travel to Tokyo Solamachi
* Rilakkuma Store, Pokemon Center, Kirby Store, etc.
* Eat dinner at Matsuya
**Day 7 -**
* Travel to Shibuya
* Queue up for Katsudon Zuicho, looks delicious so I want to try it!
* Visit the Pokemon Center, Nintendo Store, Jump Shop, MEGA Don Quijote
* Visit the Hachiko Memorial Statue
* Go to Shibuya Sky for Sunset Reservations
* Get dinner at Ichiran Ramen (I know… again!)
**Day 8 -**
* Travel to Akihabara for 2nd Time!
* I’ll have an idea of stores I wanna visit after the first time I go.
* Eat lunch at Kikanbo
* Travel to Shinjuku
* Eat dinner at Yakiniku Like
Day 9 –
* Checkout of hotel day, unfortunately.
* Eat lunch at Tokatsu Hinata
* Travel back to Haneda by 5 PM
* Depart at 7:40 PM.
