Hello everyone! We are getting married end of March and fly to Japan on April 2nd. We would greatly appreciate your feedback and suggestions on our itinerary.
Full disclosure, we are not theme park people. Which is why you’ll notice there is no mention of Disney or Universal. We are more into exploring, cultural tours, and food. We have only booked one tour. We are open to considering more if it’s worth it. I was very close to scheduling a tour of a tea farm.
We want it to be pretty flexible and we don’t want to jam a lot of things into one day – I would greatly appreciate your feedback if you think I am overdoing it on some days and its unrealistic… Assume we are out of the hotel by 10:30AM/11AM. For day trips assume we are out of the hotel by 9:30AM!
# 04/03 – 04/08: TOKYO
**Wednesday, April 3rd – Arrive at Haneda at 3PM**
* Check into our hotel
* Visit Chiyoda Cherry Blossom Festival in the evening.
* Dinner ????

* Explore Ueno Park, hopefully the Cherry Blossom Festival is still happening
* Visit Gojoten-jinja Shrine in Ueno Park
* Lunch at Okinaan
* Visit Akihabara
* Akiba Fukurou (Owl) Cafe
* Shop at Mandarake
**Friday, April 5th (Need Night time suggestions)**
* Visit Asakusa
* Breakfast at Sometaro Okonomiyak

* Nakamise & Side Streets (Mostly shopping for souviners + snacks)

* Breakfast and explore Tsukiji Outer Market
* Hama-rikyu Garden and Tea House
* Roppongi – Team Labs
* Dinner
**Sunday, April 7th – Day trip to Hakone**
* Hakone Sightseeing Cruise or Hakone Shrine
* Ōwakudani
* Go to the Hakone Yuryo Onsen.

* I was thinking of it be a chill late afternoon, possibly just explore Dotonburi and maybe check out the Namba Yasaka Shrine
**Tuesday, April 9th – Need afternoon suggestions or alternatives**
* Osaka Aquarium (Morning)
* teamLab Botanical Garden (Evening)
**Wednesday, April 10th – Nara Day Trip – Need evening suggestions or alternatives**
* Spend majority of the afternoon exploring Nara Park
* Maybe go to Kyoto?
* Dinner & Explore Nishki market or Pontocho Alley
**Thursday, April 11th – Need Lunch/breakfast suggestions!**
* Osaka Castle
* Horikoshi Shrine
* Osaka Foodie Walking Tour @ 5PM
**Friday, April 12th – Kyoto Day Trip**
* Checking out the following in the morning:
* Fushimi-Inari-Taisha Shrine
* Arashiyama Bamboo Grove
* Then in the afternoon:

* The Pokémon Center Shibuya
* Lunch in Nonbei Yokochō area
* In the evening go check out the Ukima Park Tulip Illumination
**Monday, April 15th – I have absolutely nothing plan for this day. I don’t know if to shift my Hakone Day trip to here.**
**Tuesday, April 16th – We depart around 2PM.**
