  1. What is the difference between using a transitive verb in the passive conjugation, an intransitive verb in the passive conjugation, and just a normal intransitive verb?

    ベルが鳴った

    ベルが鳴られた

    ベルが鳴らされた

Do all of these mean “bell rang”?

  2. What do you say in reply when someone says something but you didn’t catch it?

    In English we have,

    “sorry, come again?”

    “could you say it again?”

    “what did you say?”

    “I didn’t catch that”
