Ryugaiwa Cave

Ryugaiwa Cave, located in the Okuhamanako area, is one of the largest limestone caves in the Tokai region, and was formed in a limestone area said to be approximately 250 million years old.

It is located at the southern foot of Mt. Ryugaishi, with a total length of approximately 1000m, with about 400m open to the public. The underground waterfall (picture 6) has a height of 30 meters. There wasn’t any way to capture a good picture of this though. Overall, it was a pretty cool cave to walk through.
