I have a question. I’m new in my japanese company which is a huge corporate company in Japan. I don’t know my boss yet, his character or anything about him if he is good or bad person. I don’t want to just jump into conclusion and judge him. There was this one time that we had a visitor/client in our office and he asked me some stuff in front of the visitor/client and I was losing my voice that time when I was answering his question because I had some sore throat so I excused my self and apologized while conversing with and then he cut the conversation and asked me if I hv a problem with my throat and he gave me some candies in front of the client and told me not to talk. I actually felt embarrassed but I didn’t want to think about it in a negative way. Was he being rude or was he just concerned? I haven’t adapted to Japanese Kaisha culture yet but I’m trying my very best to adapt to it as quickly as possible.
