Walks in Japan

just moved to Japan recently and I catch myself going for hour long walks at night and in the morning. I find it so peaceful here, the walks, the culture, the scenery can anyone relate?

i never caught myself going for walks in my old country (Canada) cause I was never one to do that but japan has changed me LOL.

i’m in Tokyo currently and I feel at home. anyone else feel the same living here in japan?

  1. Yeah, definitely good scenery all over the place, though nothing beats going on hikes in less urban areas imo.

  2. Walks anywhere. In Japan I often go for a walk as the sun comes up, and so I can get home in time to make breakfast. My mood improves, I can plan my day, and food always tastes better. I’m in the south of England at the moment. Here we walk to a pub for lunch whenever we can.

  3. Yeah I walk up to 20kms in my free days in Tokyo before it got too hot. Looking forward to that again in the fall and winter. WFH has been great for this.

If I’m tired i can just hop into a train back home. It’s amazing.

  4. Average 14km a day in Japan. Working on my goal of 6million steps the year. Parks have been huge during the heat. But shorts and a wet towel does wonders.

I love how much you can see in an hour. Nice parks, rivers etc
