14 Night itinerary check?

Hi all!

First time to visit this beautiful country! We’re going for our honeymoon and we want part adventure, part relaxing trip with foodie taste! We are not really huge on shrines, mostly great restaurants and relaxing time in nature. Feedback on this proposal itinerary for late March/early April 2023?

**14 night itinerary**

Land at Haneda, then Tokyo for 3 nights

Train to Nikko

Nikko for 2 nights

Train back to Tokyo then immediately onto a train to Osaka

Osaka for three nights, with a day trip to Kyoto

Train to Takayama, where we’ll rent a car

Takayama for three nights, including day trips to Shirakawa and Kamikochi using said car.

Train back to Tokyo then immediately on a train to Hakone.

Hakone for two nights at a luxury ryokan. Any recommendations? Looking at Gora Kadan at the moment but I would love to hear from others on which ones have the best food and views. Price not really an issue for these nights.

Train back to Tokyo

Tokyo for one more night before departing out of Haneda the next morning
