I recently moved to Japan (US military). I have a US bought/unlocked Galaxy S10 (Verizon Wireless). But I canceled my Verizon service and I now have a Japanese Softbank cell service with SIM card in the phone.
Is there a way to get a Osaifu Keitai app (like Suica) to work on this phone?
I read a few other reddit posts, but they were all over 5 years old and I want to see if anything has changed. I had a hard time finding anything else in English to explain it.
Thanks for the help!

I have a US iPhone and Japanese cell service. No issues using Suica in my Apple Wallet (linked to my US credit card). Why not just take your phone to the SoftBank shop on base? They have English speaking staff and may be able to help you out.

Absolutely no way. The felica hardware is missing, not something you can fix with a software update either.
Only works on international models of iPhone (8 and up, iirc). For android you’d need a domestic model.
Had the same issue, gotta buy a japanese android.
I don’t mind using physical suica card, just wish charging it was more convenient
