Does anyone know if it is possible to readily exchange the highest-value 500EUR notes to JPY somewhere in Tokyo? For example does Ninja Echange accept it? I am asking because even in Europe there are not many places/merchants which are willing to accept them, except for the largest chain stores like Tesco/Carrefour, or when purchasing luxury goods. I worked in China previously and coudn’t exchange these even at a Bank of China or an ICBC bank. I am going to Japan for a year and am wondering if I could bring a couple of €500 in cash just in case of some emergency. THANKS FOR ANY REPLY IN ADVANCE!
