I am travelling to Japan for the first time on my own in January and will be in Japan for 26 days. I just wanted to ask some questions about the Tokyo portion of my trip. Here is the current plan:
– Sat Day 1 – Shibuya, Takeshita Street, Yoyogi Park and Meiji Jingu
– Sun Day 2 – Imperial Gardens, Akihabara, Senso-ji and Tokyo Sky Tree for sunset around 4.50pm
– Mon Day 3 – Yokohama and Kamakura (Yokohama only if time allows – not rushing through)
– Tues Day 4 – Ameyoko and Ueno Park, Sumo Tournament at 1315 (booked Sumo)
– Weds Day 5 – Hakone (Booked Romancecar and Pass)
– Thurs Day 6 – Shinjuku National Garden, Studio Ghibli (Booked for 4pm)
– Fri Day 7 – Nikko
A few questions:
1. Does everything make sense when I am doing it or would you move anything around?
2. Will there be time to see Ameyoko and Ueno Zoo before my 1315 booking for Sumo Tournament on the Tuesday without rushing
3. What else would you recommend to do on the Thursday as assuming I can fit in some other stuff on these days.
4. I really want to see Tobu World Square on my trip to Nikko. If I get to the shrines early enough would I be able to see it without rushing around too much or would this be impossible?
