1. Does anybody know the name in Japan for the kind of plastic used to seal windows in the winter? Our house isn’t double-paned and I’d like to get something in place to reduce heat loss and moisture accumulation for now.

2. Not just limited to natural destruction and waste of resources, there are many reasons why golf is one of the worst things mankind has come up with. So it’s sad to see that it’s so popular in such a usable-land-poor country like Japan.

   It seems like, however, big golf™ here has scraped the internet of anything negative. When I search for such content in Japanese, it’s all white-washed stuff about why it’s not *that bad* for nature, shouganai, not even a single word about the extreme elitism of closing off an area that could be a public park, for the benefit of a few rich and wannabe-rich types.

   If you come across any righteous anti-golf content in Japanese, HMU.

3. Anyone have any recommendations for “unfuck your habitat” / “flylady” type daily/weekly/monthly house cleaning checklists except more geared towards Japanese houses/apartments? I keep discovering that there are things that I should have been cleaning (like taking the panels off of the bathtub, getting air conditioning units professionally cleaned) from this sub and from other places (e.g. I found a new year’s house cleaning routine on someone’s blog — I am looking for something like this only with more frequent tasks that maybe I don’t know I should be doing….)
