Not familiar with earthquakes and appreciate the information about it

I am not from Japan. Please no mean comments but informative comments are greatly appreciated.

Prior to moving here I’ve downloaded an earthquake app. I have read as much as I could about what do to incase of an earthquake.

I noticed about 16 earthquakes so far in Ishikawa and I felt the huge one. I’m no where near Ishikawa. I was home alone with my two small children (4 and 2). I live in the city (house) but surrounded with all high risers around me. In case of a huge earthquake, can someone tell me what I should do? I know to duck under the table. Will the high riser fall over my house? If we have tsunami warnings how do I get to higher ground? Anything you can share with me is immensely appreciated.

Thank you!
