I am about to graduate from university and I have landed a couple of offers and interviews with some of the major eikaiwa and ALT dispatch companies and I’ve also applied for JET. I did do a study abroad program in Japan and I really enjoyed my time there, but I don’t absolutely need to be in Japan. Is it worth it to come over with one of these low-ranked companies and then find another job? It seems like all I read about on this sub is about how terrible it is working for NOVA or Interac and how the industry is a dead-end dying trade. I don’t have a preference for whether I do this for a year or try to stick it out long term and work my way into another career in Japan. Is it worth it or not?
