Travelling During Extension of Stay application is Processing

Hi,

I am currently out of Japan, and going back tomorrow. My zairyu card was valid till 23rd December, and my workplace applied for an Extension of Stay on 17th November. I flew out on 13th December, a day before which we got the email that the application was successful. During my departure I used the usual Special Re Entry Permit slips. Now my question is, did I need to get the stamp of a re-entry permit on my passport or will the special re entry permit suffice? As this is my first time renewing the zairyu card, and I’m the only overseas worker at the company, we used an immigration lawyer who gave me assurances that I will be able to travel in this period.

Has anyone else done the same or been in a similar position?
